Just wanted to make everyone aware we will be having a ceremonial first pitch at 9:45 for the tournament this weekend.    The significance of this is Brianna Beland is scheduled to receive the first pitch from CC the Cat (Cat Country 105.3's mascot).  

For those of you who don't know Brianna's story, she is the little girl we did the first Snow Much Fun Softball Tournament for in 2008 to help her in her fight against Leukemia.    When we first learned of her battle against leukemia in the summer of 2007 Brianna was just two years old, she's still got a big fight ahead of her but she's been up to the task and fighting back against the disease in a tremendous display of courage and strength.     The fact that she can come out for the opening pitch, even if only for a few minutes against winter's elements, is significant as she couldn't attend any of the tournament in 2008 because of her condition at that time.

I know not all of you can make it because you have later start times, but for any of you who can it would be a tremendous show of support for Brianna if she could have a large crowd supporting her when she receives the opening pitch.    The pitch is scheduled to happen on Field 3, which is the field directly beside the concession stand...........although as yesterday showed things can change at anytime.   :-)
